Comparative Nutritional Analysis of Domestic and Imported Commercial Canary Egg Food and Mixed Seeds Based Diets

In this study, the aim was to determine nutritional content of specially formulated commercial soft/egg foods for canaries, preferred by professional breeders in Türkiye, and raw material seed mixtures, thereby providing insights into general diet compositions essential feeding regimens canaries. The study examined 17 different types, eight mixed feeds, 11 egg food formulations. Two main groups, “domestic” “imported,” were formed from these feed products. ratios each determined through chemical analyses, predicted metabolizable energy values calculated compared between group averages. According results, there no significant differences (p>0.05) data domestic imported groups terms parameters other than crude fiber (CF). However, CF value found be statistically significantly lower (p<0.05), a decreasing trend ash (CA) also observed same group. It that almost all resulted similar groups. when product evaluated separately, wide variation ranges within especially fat starch parameters. As result, it is understood domestically produced formulations with basic comparable European products are available use canary Türkiye. apparent products, particularly formulations, had materials CA contents.
